The International Festival of African Fashion (FIMA in french) was created by Alphadi, back in 1998 in Niger, in the desert of Tiguidit; to present and promote the artwork of African creators to the world of arts so that these creators get the place they deserve in the fashion sphere.
This unique Festival supported by the UNESCO and the OIF is a cultural and economic event that brought Peace to the region of Agadez during its first edition.
The UNESCO has named Alphadi, Artist for Peace, for his work that he has been developing for 20 years with the will to always involve the population in this Festival:
In 2018, for its 20 years, the FIMA will take place in Morocco, in DAKHLA, with the participation of the population
Contemporary European and African art will meet at the FIMA, with education and intellectual property as priorities
This 11th edition, which has the honor of being hosted in the Kingdom of Morocco, is the festival of the African continent as a whole.
